Accra FM's Samuel Payitey honoured at 2025 Ebenezer Impact & Legacy Awards
The 2025 Ebenezer Impact & Legacy Awards (EILA) has celebrated distinguished Ghanaian Journalist, Samuel Kofi Payitey of Class Media Group (Accra 100.5 FM) as the Best Producer of the year, for his remarkable contribution to media, entertainment, and gospel ministry in Ghana.
The ceremony, held in Accra, recognised outstanding personalities whose work continues to shape the nation’s creative and faith-based landscape.
Payitey, a respected broadcaster with Accra FM, received a Citation of Appreciation from Elemezer Music, organisers of the annual awards.
The citation, presented by the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of EILA, Mr. Ebenezer Agyei, highlighted Payitey’s unwavering professionalism, exceptional service, and his profound influence on audiences through gospel-centered content.
The citation praised his dedication, describing him as “a beacon of hope, a face of inspiration, and a vessel through which God’s Word reaches hearts and transforms lives.”
It further referenced Romans 10:15, “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news”, to underscore his role as both a media personality and a messenger of faith within the entertainment ecosystem.
Mr. Agyei, commended Payitey and other honorees for their commitment to excellence and for shaping positive narratives in the creative industry.
He reiterated EILA’s mission of recognising individuals whose impact extends beyond entertainment to touch lives and uplift communities.
A Distinguished Career in Media and Ministry
Samuel Kofi Payitey stands out as an accomplished media professional with a Degree in Journalism and Media Studies from the Multimedia Institute of Ghana.
Over the years, he has built a distinguished career across media, marketing, and administration, earning admiration for his work ethic, creativity, and versatility.
Currently a Producer with Class Media Group, Payitey has worked across several platforms, including Class FM, Accra FM, No. 1 FM, and CTV.
He has produced a range of acclaimed programmes, from relationship-centred shows such as Love n Beauty, Tales of Love, Case Night, and Odo Ntwesuo to influential political programmes including the Accra FM Morning Show and the Citizen Show.
As a news reporter, he has demonstrated a strong capacity in news coverage, filing, documentary production, and scripting for radio and television, earning a reputation for delivering content that resonates widely with audiences.
Beyond the newsroom, Payitey has actively supported community engagement through live worship programmes on Accra FM and No. 1 FM, bringing spiritual upliftment to listeners across Ghana.
His professional journey also includes roles at Greater Grace Computing Systems and Shalom Marketing Company, where he sharpened his skills in communication, problem-solving, and decision-making under pressure. Fluent in English, Twi, and several Ghanaian languages, he is widely recognised for his ability to communicate effectively across diverse audiences.
Entrepreneurship, Ministry, and Legacy
Outside the media space, Samuel Payitey is the founder of the Pakosam Group of Enterprises, a conglomerate that includes Pakosam Farms, Pakosam Herbal, and Pakosam Rental.
He also leads Payitey Ministries Worldwide, through which he serves as a minister in word and music and hosts an annual gospel music festival.
