Eugene Boakye Antwi urges NPP members to participate in ongoing membership exercise
Eugene Boakye Antwi has called on members and sympathisers of the New Patriotic Party to actively participate in the party’s ongoing nationwide membership registration exercise.
In a statement issued on March 7, 2026, Mr. Antwi, who is aspiring for the position of General Secretary of the NPP, appealed particularly to members at the polling station level to demonstrate renewed commitment to the party by ensuring their names are properly registered at their respective polling stations.
He emphasised that the strength of the party has always been built from the grassroots, noting that polling stations remain the foundation of the party’s organisation, mobilisation and electoral success.
According to him, the ongoing membership registration exercise, which began on March 1 and will end on March 31, 2026, offers members and supporters the opportunity to reaffirm their commitment to the party by ensuring they are captured in the party’s register.
Mr. Antwi further explained that the exercise will be followed by a verification process scheduled from April 1 to April 14, 2026, after which polling station executive elections will be held from May 10 to May 16, 2026.
He outlined subsequent stages of the party’s reorganisation process, including Electoral Area Elections from June 10 to June 15, 2026; External Branches (Chapter Elections) from June 20 to July 19, 2026; Constituency Executive Elections on July 11 and 12, 2026; and Regional Executive Elections on August 8 and 9, 2026.
The process will culminate in the party’s National Delegates Conference scheduled for September 18 to September 20, 2026.
Mr. Antwi also encouraged polling station executives, electoral area coordinators, constituency officers and grassroots organisers across the country to mobilise members and guide them through the process to ensure a smooth and credible reorganisation of the party’s structures.
He noted that the exercise presents an opportunity for the party to renew its grassroots strength, deepen participation and strengthen its organisational structures nationwide.
