President Mahama arrives in South Korea for five-day working visit
President John Dramani Mahama has arrived in South Korea for a five-day working visit aimed at strengthening bilateral relations and exploring new opportunities for trade, investment and technological cooperation between the two countries.
The President was received on arrival by Park Kyongsig; the Director-General for the Africa and Middle East Division at South Korea’s Foreign Ministry, Chung Kwangyong; and Kojo Choi, together with officials from the Ghana Embassy.
During the visit, President Mahama is expected to hold bilateral talks with South Korean President Lee Jae-Myung and also meet the Speaker of the National Assembly of South Korea, Woo Won-Shik.
As part of his itinerary, the Ghanaian leader will attend a ship-naming ceremony at Hyundai Heavy Industries in Ulsan.
President Mahama will also deliver a public lecture at Yonsei University, grant an interview to Yonhap News Agency, and engage with Ghanaian students and professionals living in South Korea as part of efforts to strengthen ties with the Ghanaian diaspora
