Nungua Traditional Authority summons Abusuapanin Tupac over alleged burial of Daddy Lumba
The Office of the Gborbu Wulomo-Shitse, the Spiritual Overlord of the Ga-Dangme State, has officially summoned Mr. Victor Kofi Owusu, popularly known as Abusuapanin Tupac, to appear before the traditional authority regarding the alleged burial of Ghanaian highlife legend Daddy Lumba at his home.
According to a formal letter, the summons directs Mr. Owusu—who serves as the family head (Abusuapanin) of the late musician, born Charles Kwadwo Fosu—to appear before the Spiritual Overlord at the Nungua Palace on Thursday, March 13, 2026.
The summons was issued by War Lumoŕ Konor Nuumo Borketey Laweh Tsuru, the Gborbu Wulomo-Shitse, following reports and public concerns surrounding the alleged burial of the late highlife icon at a private residence located in East Legon, Accra.
The letter states that the issue has generated strong reactions among sections of the Ga-Dangme community, prompting the traditional leadership to intervene for clarification and traditional review.
“As the Family Head (Abusuapanin) of the late Charles Kojo Fosu, your presence is required to provide the necessary explanation and engagement on the matter in accordance with customary protocols,” the statement noted.
The traditional authority emphasised that Mr. Owusu’s appearance is expected to help address the concerns raised and ensure respect for tradition while seeking a peaceful resolution to the issue.
The notice further urged the family head to treat the summons with urgency and respect.
