The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has confirmed that two Ghanaian nationals were injured following a drone incident near Dubai International Airport on Tuesday, March 11, 2026.

In a statement issued in Accra, the Government of Ghana said it had been informed of the incident by authorities in the United Arab Emirates.

The government strongly condemned the attack, noting that acts that endanger civilian lives and critical infrastructure pose serious risks to public safety.

Ghana’s Ambassador to the UAE led a delegation from the country’s embassy in Abu Dhabi and the consulate in Dubai to visit the injured Ghanaians in the hospital.

According to the Ministry, the victims sustained non-critical injuries and are expected to make a full recovery.

The Ministry said it is closely monitoring the situation and will continue to engage with relevant authorities while providing consular assistance to the affected nationals.

It added that Ghana is also supporting ongoing consultations within the United Nations aimed at securing a resolution calling for a cessation of hostilities.

The government further urged Ghanaian nationals living in the Gulf region to remain vigilant and comply with directives issued by Ghanaian diplomatic missions and local authorities.
