GA/R: Klottey Korle NDC Vice Chairman donates 1,000 school uniforms to pupils

The Vice Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Klottey Korle Constituency of the Greater Accra Region, Mr Julius Neequaye Kotey (popularly known as Logass), has launched an initiative to support education by donating 1,000 brand-new school uniforms to pupils in selected schools within the constituency.
The beneficiary schools include Nii Amugi School, Calvary Methodist, Manhean 5 JHS, and Salem 5 & 6 Primary Schools.
According to Mr. Kotey, the donation is part of his broader commitment to improving educational outcomes and restoring dignity among schoolchildren who may struggle to afford proper uniforms.
“This act of giving is fundamentally about restoring dignity and confidence to young learners who may have started the new academic term in worn-out clothing,” he said.
“A new uniform means a fresh start — it allows every child to walk into school feeling valued and focused on learning.”
Mr. Kotey emphasised that the gesture represents an investment in the future of the constituency, adding that the success of any community is measured by the opportunities created for its children.
He further encouraged individuals, businesses, and community leaders within Klottey Korle to support similar initiatives aimed at uplifting the vulnerable and ensuring equal access to education.
“This spirit of humanitarianism and giving back is what defines the NDC and the people of Klottey Korle,” he noted.
“Our collective efforts are what build a stronger, more equitable constituency.”
Mr. Kotey expressed appreciation to the headteachers and educational leaders of the beneficiary schools for their collaboration and dedication to improving learning conditions.
“Your warm reception and cooperation made this exercise a success.
Your tireless efforts in shaping the minds of our youth are commendable, and we look forward to continuing this partnership in the service of education,” he said.
The initiative, themed “Giving Back: A Brighter Future for Klottey Korle’s Children,” is expected to continue in phases to reach more schools in the constituency.
