A/R: Kumasi Mayor pledges support for classroom project at 4 Garrison Basic School

The Mayor of Kumasi, Richard Ofori Agyemang Boadi, has reaffirmed the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly’s commitment to completing an ongoing classroom project at the 4 Garrison Basic School in Bantama.
The school has long struggled with inadequate classroom space, prompting management to begin the construction of a two-storey block to ease congestion.
During a recent visit to the school — which also happens to be his alma mater — the mayor donated 50 bags of cement to support the project.
Mr. Agyemang Boadi assured staff and pupils that the Assembly will prioritise the completion of the first floor of the building, describing the gesture as part of his broader pledge to strengthen educational infrastructure in the city.
“This is a promise I made, and I intend to see it through.
Every child deserves a conducive learning environment, and we will make sure this project is delivered,” the mayor stated.
In response, Lieutenant Colonel Robert Lay Laryea Okorley, Education Officer for 4 Garrison Basic School, expressed appreciation to the mayor for his intervention and continued support.
