Wales will host and take on Ghana for the first time ever in a senior men’s international fixture at Cardiff City Stadium on Tuesday, June 2, 2026. The kick-off time is to be confirmed later.

The match will also mark the first time an African nation has played in Wales.

Craig Bellamy’s side will face a star-studded Black Stars squad featuring Jordan Ayew, Antoine Semenyo, Inaki Williams, and Mohammed Kudus.

Ghana have already confirmed their place in the 2026 FIFA World Cup, where they will face England, Croatia, and Panama in the group stage.

The Black Stars have also scheduled friendlies against Austria, Germany, and Mexico, giving Coach Otto Addo an opportunity to test his squad ahead of the tournament in Canada, Mexico, and the United States of America.

Wales’ last and only men’s match against an African nation was in June 1998 in Tunis, which featured current head coach Craig Bellamy.

Wales’ participation in this summer’s World Cup will depend on the outcome of their play-off pathway in March, starting with a match against Bosnia & Herzegovina on Thursday, March 26, 2026. If they progress, they will face Italy or Northern Ireland in the play-off final on Tuesday, March 31, 2026.

Ticket information for the Wales vs Ghana fixture will be announced in due course.
