Black Queens' Stella Nyamekye joins Norwegian side SK Brann Kvinner on permanent deal
Ghana international Stella Nyamekye has completed a permanent transfer to Norwegian top-tier club SK Brann Kvinner from NWSL side Gotham Football Club.
The 20-year-old midfielder has signed a two-year contract that will keep her at Brann until 2028.
Nyamekye previously spent time on loan at Fort Lauderdale United, where she saw limited playing minutes, before returning to Gotham FC earlier this year.
Speaking about her move, Nyamekye said, “I chose Brann because I believe in the project, and it will give me the best opportunity for my development and playing experience. Brann is a great team that is fighting for several titles.”
Describing her playing style, Nyamekye added, “I am a player with good overview, good ball control, and creativity in the final third. I can contribute by scoring goals and creating chances for my teammates.”
The former Dreamz Ladies captain is currently with the Black Queens, Ghana’s national team, and scored in their 4-0 win over Russia in the 2026 Pink Ladies Cup.
She has two goals for the national side since making her debut.
