Mahama embarks on 5-day working visit to South Korea
President John Dramani Mahama is set to undertake a five-day working visit to the Republic of Korea from March 10 to March 14, 2026.
According to a Jubilee House statement issued on Sunday, March 8, the president will depart from Accra on Sunday for the visit, which is expected to strengthen bilateral relations between Ghana and South Korea.
During the trip, President Mahama is scheduled to hold a bilateral meeting with the President of South Korea, Lee Jae Myung. He will also meet with the Speaker of the Korean National Assembly, Woo Won-shik, as part of high-level engagements aimed at deepening cooperation between the two countries.
As part of his itinerary, the Ghanaian leader will participate in a ship-naming ceremony at the Hyundai Shipyard in Ulsan.
President Mahama is also expected to deliver a speech at a conferment ceremony at Yonsei University, one of South Korea’s leading higher education institutions.
In addition to official engagements, the president will spend time with the Ghanaian community in South Korea during an event with Ghanaians living, studying, and working in the country.
The visit will also include a dinner meeting with chief executives and business leaders, aimed at exploring investment opportunities and strengthening economic cooperation between Ghana and South Korea.
