Parliament rallies support for Black Queens ahead of crucial semi-final clash

Members of Parliament have called on all Ghanaians, both at home and abroad, to rally behind the Black Queens as they gear up for their crucial semi-final match against hosts Morocco in the ongoing CAF Women’s Africa Cup of Nations.
The call was made on the floor of Parliament during a spirited session in which lawmakers from both sides of the House expressed pride in the team’s performance and unity in support of the national side.
Chairman of the Youth and Sports Committee, Ernest Norgbe, led the charge, congratulating the Black Queens for their impressive run in the tournament, particularly their historic victory over Algeria that secured their spot in the semi-finals.
“This is a moment that calls for national solidarity,” Norgbe said.
“The Black Queens have demonstrated resilience, determination, and skill, and they deserve the full backing of every Ghanaian.”
Several other MPs also took turns to commend the team and urged Ghanaians to show their support, whether through prayers, messages, or simply flying the national flag in solidarity.
The Black Queens are set to face Morocco today in what promises to be a high-stakes encounter, as both teams vie for a place in the finals of the prestigious continental tournament.
