GPL 2025/26: GFA announces media accreditation process open from Sept 15 to 18

The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has announced that the media accreditation process for the 2025/2026 Ghana Premier League (GPL) has opened today, Monday, September 15, 2025.
GFA indicated the deadline for accreditation applications is Thursday, September 18, 2025.
The association said it had made provisions to give accreditation to both employed and freelancing reporters, but not before “a strict review process”.
“The media accreditation process requires an official letter on the letterhead of the media outfit, assigning specific reporters to cover the matches. Each reporter must attach a clearly labelled passport picture to their application letter,” a GFA statement explained.
“Each media outfit will be granted four media accreditations, but only two reporters will be admitted to each match.”
“Freelance journalists, bloggers and Photographers will be considered on a case-by-case basis,” GFA added.
The Kurt Edwin Simeon-Okraku-led association underlined that the accreditation for reporters would be “valid” for three different leagues for the new football season.
“Applicants are to note that this accreditation will be valid for the Ghana Premier League, the Access Bank Division One League, and the Malta Guinness Women’s Premier League for the 2025/26 season,” the GFA statement explained.
GFA asked all interested reporters to send their “details to the Communications Department via media@ghanafa.org before the deadline of Thursday, 18th September 2025”.
