Former Black Stars midfielder Emmanuel Agyemang Badu has joined the Black Galaxies Management Committee.

The committee’s mandate covers strategy, welfare, and making the Black Galaxies a competitive force for international assignments, and it is expected that Badu with his knowledge and experience in international football and player development would make a great contribution.

“With a blend of administrative expertise and football experience, the newly formed management team is expected to provide the right foundation for the Black Galaxies to thrive on the African stage,” the Ghana Football Association said.

The Black Galaxies Management Committee is made up of the Chairman, Kingsley Osei Bonsu (Bechem United CEO), and the Vice Chairman, Daniel Agboga (Volta Regional Football Association).

Other members are: Michael Kofi Oduro (Na-God FC CEO), and Daniel Asante (Wamanafo Mighty Royals).

Combining administrative expertise and football experience, the committee is expected to drive the Black Galaxies forward, positioning the team as a continental champion.

The GFA underlined that Agyemang Badu “served as deputy captain of the Black Stars, enjoyed a distinguished career with the senior national team, earning 78 international caps. He was instrumental in Ghana’s historic 2009 U-20 AFCON and FIFA U-20 World Cup triumph, famously scoring the decisive winning goal in the World Cup final that secured the title for Ghana. Badu also represented the Black Stars at the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil and featured in five Africa Cup of Nations tournaments (2010, 2012, 2013, 2015, and 2017)”.
