NIA management team pays tribute to founding Executive Secretary

The Management Team of the National Identification Authority (NIA), led by Executive Secretary Mr. Wisdom Kwaku Deku, has paid a courtesy call on the institution’s founding Executive Secretary, Prof. Ernest Dumor.
The visit, described as a heartfelt expression of gratitude, was aimed at acknowledging Prof. Dumor’s visionary leadership in establishing the NIA and laying the foundation for Ghana’s national identity system.
According to Mr. Deku, the engagement also provided an opportunity to draw on Prof Dumor’s wealth of wisdom and expertise as the Authority works to strengthen and modernise the country’s identity infrastructure to meet future development needs.
The NIA noted that this interaction marks the beginning of a series of planned engagements with all former Executive Secretaries.
The initiative is intended to celebrate their contributions, learn from their experiences, and reaffirm the Authority’s commitment to building on the legacy of its pioneers.
Officials emphasised that the ongoing efforts are part of a broader vision to create a more sustainable, secure, and future-ready national identity framework that supports Ghana’s socio-economic development.
