Upper East NDC suspends all communication activities over tragic helicopter crash

The Upper East Regional branch of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has announced a temporary suspension of all party communication activities in the wake of a devastating helicopter crash that has claimed the lives of several prominent national figures.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, the Regional Communications Officer, Jonathan A. Salifu, expressed profound sorrow over the tragic incident, describing it as a moment of “national and party sorrow.”
The crash reportedly involved Ministers of State, Party Executives, and Security Personnel, all of whom lost their lives while in service to the nation.
“It is with a heavy heart that we address you in this moment of national and party sorrow.
The tragic helicopter crash... has left us deeply shaken,” the statement read.
“We are reminded of the fragility of life and the profound sacrifices made in service to our nation and great party.”
Following consultations with regional party leadership, Mr. Salifu announced the immediate suspension of all NDC communication engagements in the Upper East Region for the rest of the week as a mark of respect for the departed.
“This directive takes effect immediately and is intended to allow us time to reflect, mourn, and stand in solidarity with the affected families and the larger NDC fraternity,” the statement continued.
The Regional Communications Bureau extended its heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families and called on all party communicators, sympathisers, and the general public to join in prayer for strength and comfort during this difficult period.
