Parliament to vet final batch of Mahama's ministerial nominees tomorrow

Parliament is set to vet the final batch of ministerial nominees appointed by President John Dramani Mahama on Friday, July 25, 2025.
This marks the concluding phase of the vetting process for the President’s ministerial team, following earlier rounds of appearances before the Appointments Committee of Parliament.
The nominees expected to appear include Dorcas Afo-Toffey, MP for Jomoro – nominated for the position of Deputy Minister of Transport, James Gyakye Quayson, MP for Assin North – nominated as Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mohammed Adam Sukparu, MP for Sissala West – nominated as Deputy Minister of Communication, Digital Technology and Innovations and Grace Ayensu-Danquah, MP for Essikado-Ketan, was nominated as Deputy Minister of Health
The vetting process, which is being closely monitored by the public and civil society groups, aims to assess the competence, vision, and integrity of the appointees before they are approved for their respective roles.
The Chairman of the Appointments Committee has assured Ghanaians of a thorough and transparent process, emphasising Parliament’s commitment to ensuring accountability in governance.
