Mahama to launch education fund for children of helicopter crash victims

President John Dramani Mahama has announced the creation of an Education Fund to support the children of victims of the August 6 military helicopter crash in the Ashanti Region.
The President made the announcement during the third-day funeral rites of Alhaji Muniru Limuna Mohammed earlier today, noting that the fund will be formally launched at the state funeral on Friday, August 15.
He urged Ghanaians—particularly government officials—to redouble their commitment to the national reset agenda as a way of honouring those who perished in the tragedy.
Describing the victims as devoted public servants, President Mahama praised their contributions to Ghana’s development and stressed that the most meaningful tribute to their memory is to complete the projects and reforms they championed.
“Their sacrifices must translate into lasting benefits for the nation,” he said.
