Interior Minister leads Janaaza prayers for helicopter crash victims

The Minister for the Interior, Mohammed Mubarak Muntaka, has announced that Islamic Janaaza prayers were held on Sunday afternoon for Alhaj Dr. Ibrahim Murtala Mohammed and Alhaj Muniru Mohammed Limuna, two of the eight people who perished in last Wednesday’s tragic helicopter crash.
The solemn rites, conducted in accordance with Islamic tradition, brought together family, friends, and sympathisers to honour the late statesmen.
In a statement, Minister Muntaka expressed his grief, describing the deceased as “my brothers,” and prayed for Allah to grant them Jannatul Firdaus.
He also asked for divine strength and patience for their bereaved families.
“As we bid them farewell and eternal rest, we pray that Allah continues to bless our country,” the Minister said.
The two men were among eight victims, including military personnel, who lost their lives in the crash at Adansi Akrofoum in the Ashanti Region.
