Mr Richard W. Tiimob, a teacher at Savelugu Senior High School in the Northern Region, has been named Ghana’s Most Outstanding Teacher at the 2025 Ghana Teacher Prize ceremony held at the University of Health and Allied Sciences (UHAS) in Ho.
The prestigious award, which comes with a three-bedroom house, recognises Mr. Tiimob’s exceptional dedication to education and his unwavering commitment to transforming lives through teaching.
In his acceptance speech, Mr. Tiimob expressed profound gratitude to God, his family, students, colleagues, and school leadership, acknowledging their collective support in his journey as an educator.
He described teaching as “more than a profession — a calling to inspire, mentor, and transform lives,” emphasising that the achievement reflects the shared efforts of his students, fellow teachers, and all stakeholders who contribute to advancing quality education in Ghana.
Mr. Tiimob encouraged teachers across the nation to continue to innovate, elevate, and inspire every learner, building a Ghana defined by ambition, excellence, and purpose.
