GA/R: Amasaman MP donates mattresses and chop boxes to support first-year SHS students

The Member of Parliament (MP) for Amasaman Constituency Iin the Greater Accra Region, Mr. Sedem Kweku Afenyo, has donated student mattresses and modern plastic food containers (chop boxes) to newly admitted senior high school students in his constituency.
The initiative forms part of the MP’s ongoing efforts to promote quality education and ease the financial burden on parents and guardians as their wards transition into secondary education.
Mr. Afenyo said the donation was inspired by his belief that every child deserves a fair chance at education, regardless of their family’s financial circumstances.
He emphasised that providing students with basic learning and boarding necessities helps create a supportive environment for academic success.
“Education remains the foundation of development.
By supporting our students and their families, we are investing in the future of Amasaman and Ghana as a whole,” he stated.
The MP’s intervention aligns with his broader vision for the Amasaman Constituency, which focuses on advancing education, healthcare, transportation, and community development.
Parents and beneficiaries expressed gratitude for the gesture, describing it as timely and impactful.
They commended the MP for his continuous efforts to improve education and uplift the well-being of young people in the area.
Mr Sedem Afenyo reaffirmed his commitment to ensuring that no student in Amasaman is left behind due to the lack of basic educational support.
