Defence Minister addresses Futures Forum 2025 at London School of Economics

Ghana’s Minister for Defence, Dr. Edward Omane Boamah, returned to the prestigious London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) this morning to deliver a keynote address at the Futures Forum 2025.
Speaking at the high-level event, Dr. Boamah shared an optimistic yet resolute message about Africa’s future, stating, “I believe Africa can, will, and shall create the Africa We Want within our contested, climate-challenged, and conflict-ridden world.”
The Forum, which brings together global leaders, scholars, and policy experts, focused on building resilient, inclusive, and forward-looking societies amidst rising global uncertainties.
Dr. Boamah’s address touched on the continent’s aspirations for peace, sustainability, and socio-economic transformation, reaffirming Ghana’s leadership role in championing progressive governance and development.
His remarks are expected to strike a chord with attendees, positioning Africa not as a continent in crisis, but as a force of innovation and resilience in the face of global challenges
