Police launch manhunt for suspect Mark Agingre over multiple murders in Upper East Region
The Ghana Police Service has launched an intensive manhunt for Mark Agingre, a native of Binduri in the Upper East Region, who is wanted in connection with a series of gruesome murders in the Binduri District and surrounding communities.
According to police reports, the suspect is believed to be responsible for the murder of a man, his wife, and three children on November 7, 2025.
The attack, which occurred in Binduri, also left another child critically injured and currently receiving treatment at the Bolgatanga Government Hospital.
Investigations further link Agingre to an earlier triple homicide involving an elderly man and his two children, which took place on October 27, 2025, also in Binduri.
Preliminary findings suggest that the suspect may be connected to several other targeted killings in the area.
In a statement, police described the killings as “brutal and calculated,” and assured residents that a full-scale operation is underway to apprehend the suspect.
To aid the investigation, the Police Administration has announced a ₵1,000,000.00 reward for any individual who provides credible information leading to the arrest of Mark Agingre.
“Anyone with credible information on the whereabouts of the suspect should immediately contact the nearest police station or call 191 or 18555,” the statement said.
The Police further assured the public that every effort is being made to bring the suspect to justice and restore calm to affected communities.
“We urge residents to remain vigilant and cooperate with security authorities as we work to ensure the safety and security of all,” the statement added.
The Ghana Police Service has also strengthened its presence in Binduri and neighbouring areas as part of efforts to prevent further attacks and reassure the public.
