UAE Ambassador pays courtesy call on Interior Minister to explore Ghana-UAE security collaboration

The Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to Ghana, H.E. Dr. Abdulla Al Mandoos, has paid a courtesy visit to Ghana’s Minister for the Interior, Mohammed Muntaka Mubarak, following the latter’s recent appointment to the role.
During the visit to the Interior Ministry in Accra, the UAE envoy congratulated the Minister on his new portfolio and expressed his country’s interest in deepening bilateral cooperation, particularly in areas related to peace, stability, and national security.
The meeting also served as a platform to explore potential avenues of collaboration between Ghana and the UAE, with discussions centring on mutual goals such as promoting sustainable peace and fostering an environment conducive to foreign direct investment.
In his remarks, Mohammed Muntaka Mubarak expressed appreciation for the Ambassador’s visit and goodwill, and underscored the importance of strategic partnerships among nations in addressing global security challenges.
He emphasised the commitment of President John Dramani Mahama’s administration to ensuring peace and stability as a cornerstone for national development and economic growth.
“The vision of His Excellency President Mahama is to create a peaceful and secure environment that attracts investment and supports economic transformation,” the Minister stated.
The Minister concluded by thanking Ambassador Al Mandoos for the visit and reiterated Ghana’s readiness to work closely with the UAE in areas of shared interest.
