Mr. Kelvin Brown

A Suhum native and businessman, Mr. Kelvin Brown, popularly known as Timeless, has donated a computer to the National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO) office in the Suhum Municipality of the Eastern Region to enhance its operations.

The donation comes at a crucial time, as the municipal NADMO office previously lacked a computer for storing and managing its data.

The new device is expected to serve as an ICT centre, enabling officers to keep proper records and improve efficiency.

Speaking to Accra FM/CTV reporter Apelete Kofi-Michel during the presentation, Mr. Brown emphasised the importance of information management in disaster response.

“To keep information is the best legacy any office can leave behind.

It prepares you to meet future challenges and strengthens the institution,” he said.

He further encouraged NADMO staff to take proper care of the computer so it could serve them for a long time.

Mr. Brown also highlighted the broader role of technology in development, noting that computers provide access to knowledge across all fields.

He urged officers and the youth in the community to embrace computer literacy as a vital skill for the future.

Receiving the donation, Mr. Williams Anyah, NADMO Director for Suhum Municipality, expressed deep gratitude on behalf of the organisation.

He assured Mr. Brown that the office would make good use of the computer and maintain it properly.

Mr. Anyah also appealed to other stakeholders to support the Suhum NADMO office with vehicles and motorbikes, stressing that logistical constraints continued to hamper their work.

“This computer will go a long way to help us, but we still lack many things.

We call on individuals and institutions to come to our aid so we can deliver better service to the people,” he said.
