Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings: Kojo Antwi mourns former First Lady

Music legend Kojo Antwi has mourned former First Lady Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings.  

Mrs Agyeman-Rawlings passed yesterday, Thursday, October 23, 2025, at Ridge Hospital, Accra.  

In his tribute to the former first lady on Facebook, Kojo Antwi attached two lovely images. One was a nostalgic picture of a younger Kojo Antwi sitting with former President Jerry John Rawlings and Mrs Agyeman-Rawlings. The other picture was a beautiful painting of the former first lady.

Kojo Antwi, often called the Maestro, remembered Mrs Agyeman-Rawlings as "a loving and supportive spirit" and a "graceful soul".  

He underlined the former first lady's legacy of empowering women, for which she formed the 31 December Women's Movement.  

He prayed for the peaceful rest of the founder of the National Democratic Party (NDP), in conlusion.  

"My condolences to The Rawlings Family. More than just a respected public figure, I regarded her as a loving and supportive spirit. A true advocate for women’s rights," Kojo Antwi wrote.  

"Ghana suffers the loss of a graceful soul," he underlined.  

"Rest in perfect peace Mrs. Nana Konadu Agyeman Rawlings [dove emoji]," the Highlife star prayed. "Damirifa due."  

Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings passed at 76.

She was a prominent audience member at Kojo Antwi's popular annual December 24 music event.
