DVLA foundation to be launched

The Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA) has announced plans to establish a new foundation aimed at supporting drivers throughout the country.

The initiative, described as groundbreaking, was revealed by the Authority’s Chief Executive Officer, Julius Neequaye Kotey.

The upcoming DVLA Foundation will serve as a social intervention platform, providing essential assistance to drivers to help them address critical personal and professional needs.

“This initiative reflects our commitment to not just regulate the transport sector, but to also uplift those who form its backbone—our hardworking drivers,” the CEO stated.

Though full details of the foundation’s operations and benefits are yet to be disclosed, the DVLA has assured the public that more information will be shared in the coming weeks.

The Authority is encouraging all stakeholders to stay tuned as it prepares to roll out what is expected to be a transformative programme aimed at empowering and improving the welfare of Ghana’s driving community.
