Antoine Semenyo confident as Manchester City chase Premier League title despite Spurs draw
Ghanaian forward Antoine Semenyo remains upbeat about Manchester City’s English Premier League (EPL) title hopes, following the club’s 2-2 draw with Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday.
Semenyo, who joined City during the winter transfer window, has made an immediate impact, scoring four goals since his arrival.
He was on target again in the high-stakes clash with Spurs, helping his side share the points.
The draw leaves Manchester City six points behind league leaders Arsenal, with 14 matches remaining in the season.
Semenyo, however, insists the title race is far from over.
“We've got more games, 14 to go. We're six points behind [Arsenal], it's not the end. We have to keep going. Anything can happen. 14 games to go, they might lose a couple and we might win. The dynamic changes and we have to see what happens,” Semenyo said after the match.
After 24 matches, Arsenal tops the table with 53 points, while Manchester City sits in second place with 47 points.
Semenyo has now scored 12 EPL goals this season across his spells with Bournemouth and Manchester City, marking his best campaign in England’s top flight.
