NPA to mark World Consumer Rights Day with stakeholder forum on petroleum sector safety
The National Petroleum Authority (NPA) will commemorate World Consumer Rights Day 2026 with a stakeholder engagement aimed at strengthening consumer protection within Ghana’s downstream petroleum sector.
The event will be held under the theme “Safe Products, Confident Consumers in Ghana’s Downstream Petroleum Sector.”
According to the NPA, the programme will serve as a platform for dialogue on product safety, regulatory oversight and strategies to enhance consumer confidence in the supply and use of petroleum products across the country.
The engagement is scheduled to take place on Thursday, March 19, 2026, at the Moses Asaga Auditorium.
The forum is expected to bring together regulators, industry stakeholders, consumer advocacy groups and members of the public to discuss responsible practices within the petroleum sector.
Officials say the initiative forms part of ongoing efforts by the authority to promote consumer protection, strengthen regulatory compliance and ensure the delivery of safe petroleum products to the Ghanaian public.
