GoldBod supports 10-year-old brain tumour patient with GHS 86,454 donation
The Ghana Gold Board (GoldBod) has extended critical financial support to a 10-year-old girl, Regina Agyeiwaa, who is currently battling a brain tumour at the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital in the Greater Accra Region.
The Board donated GHS 86,454.00 to fund two life-saving surgeries required for her treatment.
The presentation was made by Mrs. Gloria Precious Ankomah, Head of GoldBod’s Special Intervention Programme.
According to the family, the intervention came at a crucial time, offering renewed hope for Regina’s recovery.
They expressed profound gratitude to GoldBod for the timely assistance.
Medical staff at the hospital also welcomed the donation, noting that the funds would enable the young patient to undergo the urgent procedures without delay.
The gesture forms part of GoldBod’s broader commitment to supporting vulnerable individuals across the country through targeted healthcare and social impact initiatives.
