Assemblies of God holds Thanksgiving service for Comptroller -General of Ghana Immigration Service
A thanksgiving service has been held for Samuel Amadu Basentale, Comptroller General of the Ghana Immigration Service.
Servant Leadership
In his sermon, Rev Stephen Wengam, General Superintendent of Assemblies of God, Ghana, who is also Chairman of the Governing Council of the Ghana Immigration Service, called on leaders to choose the path of servanthood to transform the institutions they lead. He admonished leaders to prioritise the needs of their followers, empower them to achieve their dreams while contributing their quota to build the organization or society they are called to serve. He reminded the congregants that the best leadership model is servant leadership, which was modelled by Jesus as mentioned in John 13.
Officiating Ministers
Members of the Assemblies of God Executive Presbytery, District Pastors and the Chaplain of the Ghana Immigration Service assisted Rev Wengam to officiate the thanksgiving service.
Special prayers were offered for Mr Basentale, the directorates and the entire institution of the Ghana Immigration Service.
Appreciation
In response, Mr Basentale thanked God for his elevation and the Assemblies of God, Ghana, for nurturing him to rise to this high position.
The service was held at the United Assembly of God, Achimota.
