GH Dolphins dominate 2025 GSA President's Cup with 62 medals

The GH Dolphins emerged as the undisputed champions of the 2025 Ghana Swimming Association President's Cup, amassing a remarkable 62 medals at the third edition of the competition held on Saturday at the Borteyman Sports Complex.
Their dominant performance included 37 gold medals, 14 silver, and 11 bronze, securing the top position ahead of last year’s champions, Marlins, who finished second with 32 medals.
GH Aquatic Masters claimed third place with a total of 24 medals.
The Dolphins' success extended beyond team accolades, as they also clinched two of the event’s top individual honours.
Boris Ushinskii was named Best Male Swimmer after collecting four gold medals, while Mercedes Abdallah earned the Best Female Swimmer award with an outstanding haul of five golds and one silver.
“The event went as well as planned,” said GSA President Delphina Quaye. “We’re growing, the kids are getting more interested.
Parents are enrolling their kids on swimming lessons, and the results are showing.
We know we have a bright future ahead.”
With clubs now regrouping for next year’s showdown, the 2026 edition promises to deliver even fiercer competition and thrilling moments in the pool
