President Mahama completes 'Thank You Tour' in Wa

President John Dramani Mahama has expressed heartfelt gratitude to the chiefs and people of the Upper West Region for their overwhelming support in the 2024 general elections, during a special ‘Thank You’ durbar held in Wa.
Addressing the gathering, President Mahama acknowledged the region’s unwavering loyalty to the National Democratic Congress (NDC), which swept all parliamentary seats in the Upper West Region.
“Your votes delivered a resounding victory for the NDC, including ALL parliamentary seats in the Upper West Region,” he said.
“Thank you for your trust and confidence.”
He reaffirmed his commitment to delivering on the party’s #ResettingGhana manifesto, highlighting infrastructure as a top priority under the ambitious GHS 14 billion ‘Big Push’ initiative.
The Upper West Region is set to benefit significantly, with key projects such as the Wa-Tumu-Bolgatanga trunk road and the Techiman-Wenchi-Bole-Wa-Hamile corridor among those earmarked for development.
President Mahama assured the people that his administration would work tirelessly to bridge infrastructure gaps and unlock economic opportunities across the region.
“Thank you, Upper West Region, for your unwavering support,” he concluded.
