NDC slams Weija-Gbawe MP over development claims
The National Democratic Congress (NDC) Communications Officer for the Weija-Gbawe Constituency, Patrick Asford Boadu, has responded to comments made by the Member of Parliament (MP), Jerry Ahmed Shaib.
Mr Boadu described the MP as "confused, clueless, and empty" regarding development matters in the constituency.
The MP alleged that the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), Felix Odartey Lamptey, refused to collaborate with him on development initiatives due to their rivalry in the 2024 parliamentary elections.
Mr Boadu has, therefore, challenged the MP to mention specific projects that required collaboration but were rejected by the MCE.
Mr Boadu cited incomplete projects from the MP's tenure, questioning why they were uncompleted.
He accused the MP of prioritising media showmanship over parliamentary work, and urged him to learn from previous successful collaborations between MCEs and MPs.
The NDC communications officer emphasised that the current MCE Lamptey remained focused on delivering development and good governance, unaffected by the MP Shaib's allegations.
