Dormaa Central MP cuts sod for major health and education projects

The Member of Parliament for Dormaa Central in the Bono Region, Mr John Kwame Adu Jack of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has cut-sod for the commencement of three major developmental projects aimed at improving healthcare and education in the Dormaa Municipality.
The projects include:
A 30-bed capacity clinic with ancillary facilities at Dormaa Antwirifo,
A 15-bed capacity clinic with ancillary facilities at Nsuhia and Asikasu, and
A 3-unit classroom block with an office at Ahogono.
Speaking during the ceremony, Mr. Adu Jack described the initiative as part of his broader vision to enhance access to healthcare and expand educational infrastructure, particularly in underserved rural communities.
He noted that the projects were in fulfilment of his campaign promises to the people of Dormaa Central.
“Every community in this municipality will have its fair share of development.
With the limited resources at our disposal, we are determined to make a lasting impact by the end of my first term,” the MP stated.
The Dormaa Central Municipal Director of Health, Mr. Daniel Konka, commended the MP for his continuous support toward improving healthcare delivery in the municipality.
He emphasised that the new health facilities, once completed, will greatly benefit residents in the beneficiary communities and strengthen the local health system.
“Health is a shared responsibility,” Mr. Konka remarked.
“We encourage other stakeholders and individuals to emulate this example and contribute toward improving healthcare delivery.”
The Chief of Dormaa Antwirifo, Nana Tekyi Ababio, speaking on behalf of the traditional leaders and residents, expressed gratitude to the MP for his commitment to development.
He also called on members of the NDC in the constituency to remain united and support the MP’s vision for more transformative projects.
Other chiefs and community members also conveyed their appreciation, describing the projects as timely interventions that will improve living standards and boost social development across the municipality.
