Akwatia NDC executives call for unity ahead of September 2 by-election

Former executives of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Akwatia constituency of the Eastern Region have urged party members and leadership to remain united as they prepare for the upcoming by-election scheduled for September 2.
Mr. Isaac Kofi Ahimah, a former constituency secretary, stressed that only unity within the rank and file of the party can secure victory for the NDC.
He made the call during a visit to party members and leaders in Akwatia ahead of the polls.
According to him, internal cohesion is vital to winning the trust of constituents during the campaign.
Other former NDC executives in the constituency also echoed his sentiments, warning that without unity, the party’s chances of winning the by-election would be greatly diminished.
They, therefore, appealed to the leadership and grassroots to close ranks and work collectively to ensure victory for the NDC in Akwatia.
