Ahafo NPP gears up to host Bawumia on regional campaign tour
The Ahafo Regional Secretary of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Antwi, has announced that regional executives are making the necessary preparations to host former Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia as part of his upcoming campaign tour of the region.
Speaking in an interview with journalist Kojo Mframa, Nana Antwi disclosed that Dr. Bawumia’s tour will take place over two days — from Sunday, October 26 to Monday, October 27, 2025 — during which he will visit all six constituencies in the Ahafo Region to engage party delegates and solicit their support.
He explained that the regional leadership has a consistent practice of ensuring smooth arrangements for all presidential hopefuls who visit the area to meet delegates as part of their campaign activities.
He also called on former Members of Parliament (MPs) and District Chief Executives (DCEs) to assist in mobilising grassroots support across the constituencies.
Nana Antwi further urged supporters of all aspirants to avoid political insults and internal divisions, emphasising that party unity remains crucial ahead of the NPP’s internal elections and the 2028 general polls.
“Our focus should be on building unity and strengthening the party’s base.
We can only win when we stand together,” he said.
