W/R: Effia-Kwesimintsim Municipal Assembly ceases all transport and trading activities at Jubilee Park

The Effia-Kwesimintsim Municipal Security Council (MUSEC) in the Western Region has instructed all transport operators at the Jubilee Park area to vacate effective Monday, 6th October 2025.
The council, after a meeting held on Monday, 29th September 2025, issued the order in connection with the re-purposing of the Jubilee Park.
The statement was signed by the Chairman of MUSEC, Abdul Majeed Iddrisu Nassam.
Affected transport operators are asked to relocate to the Apremdo Central Market (Abenbebom) Lorry Station, where designated spaces have been provided.
All bulk discharge of foodstuffs shall only be permitted at the Apremdo Central Market (Abenbebom).
By Monday, 13th October 2025, all market activities at the Jubilee Park must cease completely.
“Any trader who fails to comply with this directive will be subject to appropriate sanctions, which may include forfeiture of goods in accordance with the Assembly's bye-laws,” the statement warned.
They urged the cooperation of all stakeholders, particularly transport operators, traders, and the general public to ensure a smooth transition.
