IGP motivates special operational team in Savannah Region

The Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Mr. Christian Tetteh Yohonu, has charged members of the Special Operational Team deployed to Bole to remain professional, disciplined, and vigilant as they work to maintain peace and order in the area.
The IGP delivered the motivational message during a strategic engagement with the team at the Savannah Regional Police Headquarters in Damongo.
He underscored the importance of proactive policing, ethical conduct, and inter-agency collaboration, stressing that strong coordination with other security agencies would be key to sustaining peace in the region.
“Your role in maintaining stability here is crucial.
Stay professional, remain vigilant, and work as a united front with other security agencies to ensure lasting peace,” he advised.
As part of new directives, the team was tasked to intensify daily patrols, particularly along Bole’s boundary areas affected by displacement.
Special emphasis will also be placed on securing vulnerable communities.
Following the meeting, the Special Operational Team returned to Bole to continue their routine duties, which include community patrols, intelligence gathering, and conflict prevention efforts.
Police officials noted that the presence of the unit since its deployment has already contributed significantly to restoring calm and boosting public confidence in the area.
