Her Smile Matters: Widow support project scheduled for Ho West on October 1

A widow support initiative dubbed 'Her Smile Matters' will be held in the Ho West Constituency on Wednesday, October 1, 2025.
The programme, organised by Rita’s Foundation, in collaboration with Diana Balo and the Versatile Foundation, is aimed at extending assistance to widows within the constituency.
A statement issued by the organisers said the project seeks to provide relief items and financial support to widows while offering words of encouragement and spiritual fellowship. It added that the initiative was informed by the need to acknowledge the struggles of widows in society and to restore a sense of dignity and belonging among them.
The organisers noted that supporting widows was not only an act of charity but also a moral and spiritual duty.
"The event is intended to demonstrate love and solidarity with women who have endured significant hardship and to reassure them that their lives matter," Rita's Foundation said.
The outreach will provide food items, financial assistance, and counselling, in addition to creating a supportive environment of prayer and fellowship.
The organisers further appealed for public support to sustain the initiative, indicating that contributions could be made via mobile money to 0555028715 with Donation as reference.
The 'Her Smile Matters' widow support project is expected to draw participation from community members, local leaders, and beneficiaries.
