The Minister for Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts, Abla Dzifa Gomashie, reaffirmed government’s commitment to strengthening ties with the Ghanaian diaspora to drive tourism beyond seasonal peaks.
She made this known during a courtesy call by members of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, in Ghana for their 118th Founder’s Day celebrations.
The minister highlighted the importance of sustained collaboration with diaspora groups and assured that proposed activities would be reviewed for possible involvement of the ministry and its agencies, with further engagements planned to deepen stakeholder participation.
Speaking for the delegation, Mr Diallo Sumbry of The Adinkra Group revealed that about 500 members are currently in Ghana, underscoring the diaspora’s strong capacity to mobilise in support of tourism, culture and creative arts initiatives.
