Police interdict five officers over unauthorised use of uniforms on social media
The Ghana Police Service has interdicted five police officers over alleged professional misconduct involving the unauthorised use of police uniforms on social media platforms.
In a statement dated Tuesday, December 16, 2025, the Police Administration said the action was taken after the officers were found to have improperly used official police attire in online content without approval, contrary to established service regulations.
The individual named G/Sgt. Samuel Agbemanyale, G/Cpl. Isaac Mpere, G/Cpl. Samuel Agbo, G/Cpl. Charles Oduro and PW/Const. Elizabeth Dicka Korkor.
According to the statement, the interdiction is intended to allow for thorough investigations while ensuring that professional standards within the Service are upheld.
The officers have since been referred to the Police Professional Standards Bureau (PPSB), which has been tasked with conducting further investigations into the matter.
The Police Service reiterated its commitment to discipline and professionalism, warning that any conduct that undermines the integrity and image of the Service will be dealt with firmly.
The statement also reminded officers and the general public that the use of police uniforms and insignia is strictly regulated, and unauthorised usage, whether online or offline, will attract appropriate sanctions.![]()
