Global Media Foundation mourns victims of military helicopter crash

The Global Media Foundation (GLOMEF) has expressed deep sorrow and extended heartfelt condolences to the Government of Ghana, the Ghana Armed Forces, and the families affected by the tragic military helicopter crash that claimed the lives of two ministers of state and six others.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, August 6, 2025, the Sunyani-based civil society organisation said it received news of the incident with “profound shock and sorrow.”
“This is an immense loss not only to the government but to the entire nation,” the statement read.
“The sudden demise of these dedicated public servants and brave personnel is a painful reminder of the sacrifices made in the service of country and duty.”
Signed on behalf of the Board, management, staff, and partners of GLOMEF, the foundation expressed solidarity with the bereaved families and all those affected by the incident, offering prayers for strength and peace during this period of national mourning.
“As we mourn, we call on all Ghanaians to unite in compassion, respect, and support for the grieving families and our national leadership,” the statement added.
