Ghana donates 40 metric tons of cocoa products to Palestine amid Gaza humanitarian crisis

The Government of Ghana has donated 40 metric tons of locally produced cocoa products to the people of Palestine, in a gesture of solidarity amid the ongoing humanitarian crisis in Gaza.
President John Dramani Mahama, who announced the donation, stated that the gesture reflects Ghana’s deep commitment to shared humanity and its long-standing relationship with the Palestinian people.
“This donation is not only a reflection of Ghana’s rich natural resources, but also a source of vital nutrition—especially for malnourished mothers and children affected by the crisis,” President Mahama said.
He further reaffirmed Ghana’s unwavering support for a two-state solution, and called on all parties involved in the conflict to prioritise dialogue and lasting peace.
Receiving the donation on behalf of the Palestinian people, Ambassador Abdalfatah Al-Sattari expressed profound gratitude to the Government and people of Ghana.
“This gesture carries both emotional and symbolic significance.
It reminds us that even in our darkest moments, we are not alone,” the Ambassador remarked.
The cocoa donation is expected to be delivered through humanitarian channels and forms part of Ghana’s broader commitment to international solidarity and global peacebuilding.
