Hilda Baci sets new Guinness World Record with largest serving of Jollof Rice

Popular Nigerian chef and culinary star, Hilda Baci, has once again etched her name in the Guinness World Records, this time for preparing the largest serving of Nigerian-style jollof rice.
Working in partnership with food brand Gino, Baci achieved the remarkable feat with a total serving weight of 8,780 kilograms (19,356 lb 9 oz) of the iconic dish.
The record-breaking event took place in Victoria Island, Lagos, and attracted massive attention from food lovers, fans, and well-wishers nationwide.
Beyond celebrating Nigeria’s most famous dish, the milestone also reinforces Baci’s growing influence in the culinary space.
She previously captured global headlines with her attempt at the Guinness World Record for the longest cooking marathon.
This latest accomplishment not only cements her status as a trailblazer in African cuisine but also showcases the global appeal of jollof rice, a cherished cultural symbol and source of national pride for Nigerians.
