OKAAF Foundation holds maiden donation at Countryside Children’s Home
Renowned journalist with Class Media Group (CMG), Odehye Kronkron Akwasi Appiah, has officially launched the Odehye Kronkron Akwasi Appiah Foundation (OKAAF) with a donation to the Countryside Children's Home at Kasoa-Bawjiase.
The donation exercise formed part of activities to mark his birthday and included food items, clothing, toiletries, educational materials and cash for the children and management of the home.
Speaking at the launch, Mr Appiah said he chose to celebrate his birthday by giving back to society and supporting vulnerable children.
"This foundation was birthed out of a deep desire to serve and to be a blessing. There's no better way to celebrate life than to give life to others. Today is just the beginning of many more initiatives," he said.
Receiving the items on behalf of the home, one of its administrators, Mr Osei, expressed appreciation to the foundation for the gesture.
He commended Mr Appiah and the leadership of the foundation for their generosity and timely intervention, noting that the donation would help address some of the home's operational needs while bringing comfort to the children.
The launch marks the beginning of the foundation's efforts to support vulnerable members of society through charitable initiatives.
