Man allegedly kills partner and commits suicide at Kade Abease
A tragic incident has been reported at Kade Abease in the Eastern Region, where a man identified as Samuel Arthur is alleged to have killed his cohabiting partner, Deborah, before taking his own life.
According to available information, the couple, both natives of Takoradi in the Western Region, had been living together at Kade Abease for approximately four months.
Samuel Arthur was said to be employed at a cold store in the area.
Speaking to the media, the local Assemblyman disclosed that the couple had earlier had a misunderstanding, which reportedly caused Deborah to leave the house for Kasoa.
She later returned to the residence to collect her personal belongings.
Reports indicate that upon her return, Samuel Arthur allegedly locked the door and attacked Deborah, hitting her with a piece of wood.
After the incident, he is said to have taken his own life by hanging.
The Ghana Police Service has since visited the scene and conveyed the bodies of both individuals to the Kade Government Hospital mortuary for preservation and further investigations.
Police have launched a full inquiry into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
