Former Adenta MP declares interest in marrying Daddy Lumba’s widow
Former Member of Parliament for Adenta, Kojo Adu Asare, has set social media buzzing after openly declaring his interest in marrying Odo Broni, the widow of the late highlife icon Daddy Lumba.
Speaking candidly on Asempa FM, the former lawmaker revealed that he is currently single and has deep admiration for Odo Broni, describing her as a woman worthy of respect and honour.
He stressed that his intentions are genuine and not driven by publicity.
However, Kojo Adu Asare was quick to add that culture comes first.
According to him, he would only consider taking any step toward marriage after Odo Broni has fully completed her traditional widowhood rites, noting that Ghanaian customs must be respected regardless of personal feelings.
“I respect our traditions and I respect her as a woman.
Everything must be done properly,” he said during the interview.
The revelation has since ignited mixed reactions online, with many debating the timing, cultural expectations, and the boldness of publicly expressing romantic interest in the widow of a national music legend.
As discussions continue across radio and social media platforms, one thing is certain — Kojo Adu Asare’s statement has firmly captured public attention.
